An undercover operation in the Chatsworth area of Durban has resulted in the apprehension of six men, aged between 31 and 61, for their involvement in drug dealing.
The operation was carried out by members of the Hawks, in collaboration with Serious Organised Crime Investigation, Crime Intelligence, Durban Metro Police, and Customs.

The arrests were made on Friday morning, following an extensive investigation prompted by concerns raised by the Chatsworth community.
Lieutenant Colonel Simphiwe Mhlongo, spokesperson for the Hawks, revealed that numerous undercover operations were conducted, leading to the identification of the suspects. As a result, heroin capsules and pieces of crack cocaine with an estimated street value of R110,000 were seized.
Mhlongo further stated that cases of drug dealing were registered, and warrants of arrest were issued, ultimately resulting in the apprehension of the suspects. The six men are scheduled to appear in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Monday, March 4.
