On Tuesday in an operation led by the Hawks in Booysens, Johannesburg, three suspects were shot dead and three others were arrested after a fierce shootout with law enforcement.
The suspects had allegedly been terrorizing the suburbs of Johannesburg, engaging in violent crimes, including more than 30 murders.
According to Col Katlego Mogale, spokesperson for the Hawks, the team received information about the suspects and swiftly arrived at the identified premises.

However, they were met with gunfire upon their arrival. In response, the law enforcement team returned fire, resulting in the fatal shooting of three suspects. Additionally, they managed to apprehend three other suspects during the intense exchange.
The operation also led to the recovery of two unlicensed firearms from the scene, highlighting the dangerous nature of the suspects and the threat they posed to the community. Despite the successful operation, Mogale emphasized that the possibility of more suspects being involved in these criminal activities and subsequently arrested was not ruled out.
