Upon receiving reports of the shooting on Mpunzi Road, the police arrived at the scene to find the lifeless bodies of a man in his early 40s and a 24-year-old woman. Both victims had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and were declared dead on site.

Just a few meters away, the body of a 50-year-old man was found inside his room, also with gunshot wounds. Fortunately, his neighbour, who was also targeted, managed to survive unharmed.

According to Netshiunda, the suspects first shot the man and the woman before proceeding to a nearby house. There, they demanded the keys for a minibus taxi from the female occupants.

Luckily, the women were able to escape unharmed, but the suspects took the spare key for the taxi. The same individuals then went on to the cottages down the road, where they shot the third victim and took the original keys before fleeing with the minibus taxi. The abandoned vehicle was later found in Ntuzuma.
