Tragedy struck in Tweefontein, Mpumalanga on Sunday night when unknown assailants opened fire on tavern patrons, resulting in the death of three individuals. The incident occurred after 10pm, when two armed men entered the tavern carrying high-caliber firearms.
Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Colonel Donald Mdhluli, stated that the armed suspects began firing indiscriminately, causing serious injuries to three male victims.

Despite the efforts of paramedics and police who were called to the scene, the victims, aged 36, 43, and 50, were pronounced dead by medical personnel.
The motive behind the shooting remains unknown, and no arrests have been made thus far. The police are treating the case as three counts of murder and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
