“Upon arrival, what began as a welfare check quickly escalated into a tragic scene. Officers discovered a male individual, lifeless and in a state of decomposition, on the living room couch.

Three adults and a dog were discovered dead inside a residence in Greenwood Park, Durban on Monday. The victims, aged 27, 30, and 37, were found lifeless at their home on Rosary Road. The local police are currently investigating the matter as three counts of inquest.

The incident came to light when KZN VIP Security received requests for medical assistance from concerned individuals. Gareth Naidoo, the spokesperson for KZN VIP Security, revealed that upon arriving at the residence, it became apparent that the victims’ family had been unable to establish contact with them. The discovery was made when the emergency teams entered the home.

Preliminary reports suggest that the residents had been relying on a generator for power due to cable theft in the area, leaving them without electricity for several days. However, the exact circumstances leading to the deaths remain unconfirmed and are pending further investigation by the police.
