The police in Mpumalanga are currently investigating a tragic house robbery incident that resulted in the death of school principal Michael Sali Mabena.
The incident took place in Vosman, where Mabena was fatally stabbed in his own home. The police are diligently working to apprehend the heartless suspects responsible for this gruesome crime.
The incident occurred on May 8, 2024, at approximately 9:30 pm at the victim’s house in Ackerville. Members of the police in Vosman were on duty when they received an alert about the incident.
They promptly rushed to the scene and were met with a devastating discovery – the lifeless body of Michael Sali Mabena lying in his bedroom, with multiple stab wounds. Tragically, paramedics who attended the scene pronounced him dead.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the suspects forcefully entered the house and proceeded to rob the victim. They stole his black Kia Sportage with registration number DSM 504 MP, as well as his plasma television set and sound system. The exact motive behind the robbery is still under investigation.
The suspects involved in this heinous crime have not yet been apprehended, and their identities remain unknown. The police are urging anyone with crucial information that may assist in the investigation to come forward.
