The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) has officially acknowledged that it has dispatched soldiers to four provinces in response to a series of truck arson.
The SANDF’s presence will aid law enforcement efforts in the provinces of Limpopo, Mpumalanga, KwaZulu-Natal, and the Free State.

During the past week, more than 20 trucks have been set on fire, resulting in significant damage.
In connection with these attacks, the police have apprehended three suspects, who are scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
According to spokesperson Simphiwe Dlamini, the SANDF’s primary objective is to provide support to the police.

Dlamini clarified that their deployment aligns with the police’s strategic plan, and they will typically adhere to the police’s course of action.
The SANDF’s involvement aims to support the South African Police Services in addressing the situation.
