In a recent incident at the Magnolia Hotel in Aerorand, in Mpumalanga a group of approximately six men approached the security guard who was stationed in the guard room.
The suspects arrived in a seven-seater Suzuki vehicle with an unknown registration plate. One of the men inquired about the cost of accommodation at the hotel, and upon receiving the information from the guard, they expressed their desire to enter the premises.

As the security guard approached the suspects’ vehicle, two men got out, one of whom was armed with a firearm. The suspects swiftly took control of the situation by tying up the guard with a rope and instructing him to remain silent. They proceeded to do the same with the receptionist.
During the course of the incident, the perpetrators stole various items from one of the hotel rooms. These included alcohol, cigarettes, a Mobicel SIM card, a Samsung Z Fold, and two iPhones. The exact value of the stolen goods is yet to be determined.
