Police in Musina, Limpopo, are currently investigating a case of attempted murder following a tragic incident in which a five-year-old boy was struck by a stray bullet.
The event took place at a location called Matswale on Saturday, as reported by provincial police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the bullet might have been fired from an unknown location. The boy had fallen asleep while watching TV, and it was his elder brother who discovered he had been shot when he went to fetch him.
Upon discovering the injured child, the elder brother quickly alerted their grandmother. The family acted swiftly, rushing the five-year-old boy to the hospital.
As of now, the child is receiving medical treatment. The police have yet to determine the origin of the bullet and are continuing their investigation into this alarming case.
