The Free State National Prosecuting Authority has stated that it will oppose Dr Nandipha Magudumana’s bail application.
She’ll petition the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.

Magudumana is suspected of assisting convicted rapist and murderer Thabo Bester in his escape from jail in May 2022.
In July, the High Court denied her request for leave to appeal a judgement on her detention and deportation from Tanzania in April.

“I can confirm Magudumana has launched an application to be released on bail, and it is set for Tuesday and Wednesday, and NPA will oppose the releasing of her on bail,” said NPA provincial spokesperson Phaladi Shuping.
