The National Consumer Commission has recently initiated an investigation into the manufacturer responsible for the recalled peanut butter products.
This action was taken after the commission issued a notice to recall several peanut butter brands produced by House of Natural Butters.

Subsequently, additional labels have been added to the list of products that need to be removed from the shelves due to the presence of unacceptably high levels of Aflatoxin.
Among the peanut butter brands affected by this recall are Dischem’s Lifestyle, Wazoogles Superfoods, Pick n Pay’s No Name Brand, and Eden All Natural.
Acting National Consumer Commissioner, Thezi Mabuza, has announced that the NCC will also conduct a nationwide assessment to determine whether other brands have been impacted.
Mabuza emphasises the importance of compliance with regulations for the manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers of peanut butter.
She urges them to conduct urgent tests to evaluate the safety of their products on the shelves and to take immediate corrective measures if any safety concerns are identified.
