Joslin Smith’s Biological Dad Blames Her Disappearance On Her Mom’s Drug Addiction

The search for Joslin Smith, a Grade 1 learner from Saldanha Bay in the Western Cape, continues as her family and concerned community members rally together in hopes of finding her.

Joslin’s biological father, Jose Emke, believes that her disappearance may be linked to a drug debt, and he is determined to find answers.

In an effort to gather information and raise awareness about Joslin’s case, Patriotic Alliance (PA) leader Gayton McKenzie has offered a reward of R100,000, while the War Against Parental Alienation group has put up a reward of R10,000.

These rewards are intended to incentivize individuals with any information that could lead to Joslin being found.

Joslin’s father is urging the police to arrest her mother, Kelly, and her boyfriend, Jacquin Appollis. According to Emke, Appollis admitted to being the last person responsible for Joslin’s care before she went missing.

Emke expressed his anger and frustration, stating that Kelly did not even inform him about their daughter’s disappearance.

Emke suspects that Kelly and Appollis may have gotten themselves into drug debts due to their substance abuse.

Kelly has admitted to using drugs, specifically crystal meth, commonly known as “Tik.” However, she claims to have been clean for a week leading up to Joslin’s disappearance. Kelly stated that she tried to contact her boyfriend when she returned from work on the day Joslin went missing, but he was unable to account for their daughter’s whereabouts.

Appollis, on the other hand, disputes leaving the house and maintains that he never went anywhere. He claims that Joslin told him she was going to play with her friends around 2 pm, and when she hadn’t returned by 6 pm, they became worried and contacted the police.

The search for Joslin Smith continues, as her family and the community hope for her safe return. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to come forward and assist in bringing her home.
