A Grade 12 pupil was slain after a brawl at a school camp at Mpirwabirwa Secondary School.
Willem Ngoepe died on Friday after being beaten in the head with an item by another pupil at the matric school camp, according to Limpopo Department of Education spokesperson Mike Maringa.

“The incident happened at Mpirwabirwa Secondary School on Thursday evening and the learner succumbed to injuries the following day. Social workers will be dispatched to the school on Monday to offer psycho-social support,” he said.
Mavhungu Lerule-Ramakhanya, a Limpopo member of the executive council for education, has extended condolences to the Ngoepe family following the unfortunate death of their son.
The incident has been reported to the police.
