On Thursday morning, a devastating gas explosion occurred at a restaurant in Howick, KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), injuring three individuals. The explosion has raised concerns about safety protocols at eateries and other establishments that use gas appliances.
Emergency Response
According to Midlands EMC spokesperson Roland Robertson, the Howick advanced life support ambulance, along with rescue medics, quickly responded to the scene in the Lions River area post-explosion.

Medical personnel assessed the situation and found that two of the injured victims had sustained serious burn injuries, while the third individual was reported to have moderate injuries.
