Four KZN Brothers Shot Dead At Their Sister’s Wedding

The victims, Bhekisisa, Msawenkosi, Sanziso, and Veli Gcabashe, were preparing for their sister Phumzile’s wedding when the tragedy unfolded.

As they sat together in one of the rondavels, enjoying the festivities with singing, dancing, and traditional beer, five unknown men entered the scene and opened fire, mercilessly taking the lives of the four brothers.

The sound of gunshots shattered the celebratory atmosphere, leaving everyone in shock and disbelief. Despite the horrific event, the wedding continued as per custom, as postponing a wedding is considered a taboo in Zulu culture.

He mentioned recent incidents where young men were shot and killed while playing pool at a local shop and three women who were attacked and fatally shot. The growing number of such incidents has left people terrified.

Mfeka pleaded for calmness among the residents and urged them to allow the police to conduct their investigations. He emphasized the importance of cooperation to ensure that the criminals responsible for these heinous acts are brought to justice.

Colonel Robert Netshiunda, spokesperson for the KZN SAPS, confirmed the incident and provided details of the ongoing investigation. The police in Ndwedwe have launched a massive manhunt for two suspects who shot and killed the four men from the Gcabashe family. The motive behind the killings is yet to be established.
