Fatal Shooting In Durban Leaves Two Dead And One Injured

This incident follows a similar one last week, where two suspected criminals were fatally shot during a shootout with the police in Hillcrest, Durban.

Two individuals have tragically lost their lives in a shooting incident that occurred in Montclair, a suburb south of Durban.

According to ALS Paramedics, they received multiple calls regarding the incident on Radcliffe Road in KwaZulu-Natal shortly before 9 pm on Saturday. Upon arrival, paramedics discovered that the police were already present at the scene.

The paramedics were directed to a vehicle that displayed several bullet holes. Inside the vehicle, they found three men and immediately began assessing their condition.

Regrettably, two males in their thirties had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Another male, also believed to be in his thirties, was critically injured with multiple gunshot wounds. Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked diligently to stabilize him before swiftly transporting him to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unknown, and the police will conduct a thorough investigation to shed light on the incident.

The suspects, who were wanted in connection with three counts of murder, opened fire on the police when they attempted to stop their vehicle. In response, the officers returned fire, resulting in the suspects’ demise.

No police officers were harmed during the exchange of gunfire. The deceased suspects were sought in connection with a double murder case that occurred outside a tavern in Molweni on January 4th.
