Two elderly men, aged 75 and 92, are scheduled to appear before the Brits Magistrate’s Court on Monday. They are facing charges in connection with the murder of a 75-year-old man. The tragic incident took place at an old age home in Jericho, North West.
The incident occurred at approximately 4 a.m. on Thursday. The victim was returning from the bathroom when he encountered the suspects, who were en route to the same location.
According to police spokesperson Lt-Col Amanda Funani, the victim allegedly bumped into one of the suspects, who then retaliated by striking him with his crutches. The second suspect then joined in, and together they assaulted the victim.
The victim sustained severe head injuries and was quickly transported to the hospital. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The assailants, both residents of the same old age home, were subsequently taken into custody. They now face serious charges and their court appearance on Monday will determine their legal fate.
