Alleged Hitman Arrested In KwaZulu-Natal For Illegal Gun Supply

In a recent development, the police have apprehended a 41-year-old man believed to be an alleged hitman in the King Cetshwayo district in northern KwaZulu-Natal. The arrest took place on Thursday following a tip-off received by the KwaZulu-Natal police.

According to Const Thenjiswa Ngcobo, a spokesperson for the KwaZulu-Natal police, the information received indicated that the suspect was involved in the supply of firearms and ammunition from his residence in the Ndindima area, located just outside Esikhaleni.

Acting swiftly on the information, the police conducted a search of the suspect’s house.

During the search, law enforcement officials discovered two firearms concealed in the suspect’s bedroom. The recovered weapons included an AK-47 assault rifle and a pistol. Additionally, 38 rounds of ammunition and two magazines were also seized.

The police suspect that the individual was operating a firearms leasing business catering to criminals.

Further investigations into the matter revealed that the suspect had a history as an alleged hitman before becoming wheelchair-bound. The recovered firearms will undergo ballistic testing to determine their involvement in any previous criminal activities.
