On March 20, 2024, at approximately 13:00, 9-year-old Sibusiso Mpangase left his home in Newlands East to play with two of his friends.
Tragically, he never made it back home. The details surrounding his disappearance are concerning, and the South African Police Service (SAPS) is urgently seeking any information that may help locate him.

According to reports, Sibusiso and his friends were playing in the local park when they began their journey back home.
It was at this point that a silver-grey vehicle, parked on the side of the road, called out to Sibusiso. His friends decided to go home, but Sibusiso expressed his intention to go to the shop to buy cigarettes for the male occupant of the car.

When Sibusiso failed to arrive home with his friends, his mother grew worried and initiated a search for her son. As time passed without any sign of Sibusiso, she made the difficult decision to report the incident to the police. The SAPS is now actively investigating the case and reaching out to the public for assistance.
