Minnie Dlamini Would Love Ex-Boyfriend Itumeleng Khune To Join Her Roast

Minnie Dlamini, the talented actress and presenter, has recently made headlines with her upcoming roast. The announcement of her being the roastee for the Showmax and Laugh Africa Comedy Festival has created quite a buzz.

But what caught everyone’s attention was Minnie’s surprising statement about her ex-boyfriend, Itumeleng Khune, potentially joining the panel.

In a recent interview with ZiMoja, Minnie expressed her doubts about the Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper joining the roast, but she also admitted that it would be great if he did. Now, that’s what I call an amicable ex-relationship!

It takes a special kind of person to be open to roasting by their ex, and Minnie seems to have no issues with it.

When asked about the comedians she would like to see on the panel, Minnie mentioned some top-notch names like Tumi Morake, Skhumba Hlophe, and Nina Hastie.

But what caught my attention was her desire to have representatives from every facet of the industry, even non-comedians. Talk about breaking the roast mould!

But let’s get back to the juicy stuff. Minnie and Khune were in a relationship from 2011 to 2014, and during that time, there were rumours that Khune had paid a whopping R1 million in lobola for her.

However, Minnie clarified that those claims were not true. Well, that’s a relief! It’s always good to set the record straight, especially when it comes to lobola payments.

Since their split, Minnie has moved on and married TV producer Quinton Jones, with whom she has a three-year-old son.

Sadly, they are currently going through a divorce. On the other hand, Khune found love again with Siphelele Makhunga, whom he married in a traditional wedding in 2022. They now have two daughters together. Life moves on, and so do relationships.

So, will Itumeleng Khune make an appearance at Minnie Dlamini’s roast? Only time will tell. It would certainly be interesting to see if the former couple can bring their past into the present and create some hilarious moments on stage.

Who knows, maybe they’ll roast each other with love and laughter. After all, isn’t that what exes are for?
