Man Shot Dead While Sitting In His Car At His Garage

The Limpopo police in Sekhukhune are urgently appealing for information from community members that could lead to the arrest of two unknown men involved in the murder of a 42-year-old man.

The tragic event occurred on Thursday, around 4 pm, at Shushumela next to Peter Nchabeleng Stadium.

According to preliminary police investigations, the assailants gained access to the victim’s residence through an open garage. The victim was sitting inside his vehicle, which was parked in the garage, when the incident took place.

Limpopo Police spokesperson, Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, reported that the victim’s wife was inside the house when she suddenly heard a gunshot from the garage.

She immediately rushed out to investigate and saw a blue Volkswagen Polo with an unknown registration number speeding away from the premises. Upon further inspection, she found her husband bleeding profusely from a gunshot wound inside the vehicle.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were called to the scene, and they declared the victim dead upon their arrival. Colonel Ledwaba noted that the motive behind the incident remains unknown, and police investigations are ongoing. A manhunt for the suspects has been intensified.
