In a disturbing incident that has shocked the community, a man from Limpopo is set to appear in court after allegedly decapitating a male relative and leaving two others wounded during a family dispute.

The incident took place in the Tshidimbini village outside Thohoyandou. The police were alerted to the murder when they received a report and upon arrival at the scene, they discovered a gruesome sight.

A human head was found at the gate, and inside the house, they found the decapitated body of a 41-year-old man, who had been tied with a rope.

Additionally, a 32-year-old woman and her 10-year-old daughter had already been transported to the hospital after being attacked by the same family member.

Limpopo Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, expressed shock and condemned the incident, labelling it as senseless, cruel, and inhumane.

Hadebe emphasized that no one has the right to take another person’s life, even in the face of provocation. Assuring the affected individuals that justice will be served without bias, Hadebe reiterated that such brutality has no place in society.

While the motive for the attack is still under investigation, the police spokesperson, Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba, suggested that domestic violence could not be ruled out.
