How long should we wait for divorce? Former finance minister Malusi Gigaba is alleged to have paid lobola for his fiancee Nomfundo Fakudze from Eswatini.
Zimoja reports that the former finance minister would soon tie the knot for the third time. According to the publication, Gigaba recently sent his uncles to the Kingdom of Eswatini in Manzini.
Fakudze works for the National Empowerment Fund as a senior investment associate (NEF). It is still unclear when the couple will wed but it’s reported that they’ve been together for over a year.
In 2021, Gigaba attended his daughter’s (Lerato Gigaba) 21st birthday celebration with her as his plus-one.
The former minister has been gushing about Fakudze’s attractiveness on her Instagram photos at every opportunity, showing his love for her that he is unable to conceal.
Additionally, the couple has been flirting on Instagram. Gigaba calls his fiancee a “flame” in the comments area of one of her posts. She corrects him and advises him to begin his remark with the possessive term “my.”
In another post, he addresses Fakudze as “Dali [Darling]” in response to someone who praised her beauty on Instagram.
Gigaba has previously been married twice.
He divorced his first wife, Thabong Nxumalo, in 2010 after it was claimed that he had an extramarital affair with Nomachule “Norma” Gigaba (née Mngoma), who later became his second wife.
Norma and Gigaba wedded in 2014, but their marriage ended in bitterness in 2020, leading to the businesswoman keying his friend’s Mercedes-Benz G-Class after he allegedly cheated as well.
She was arrested as a result. In July of the same year, she was freed after posting an R5,000 bail.
Additionally, Norma testified against Gigaba at the Zondo commission in 2021, claiming that he worked with the Gupta family to capture the state.
