City of Joburg mayor Dr Mpho Phalatse is officially off the market! The wedding of City of Joburg mayor Mpho Phalatse and Brutus Malada, a political analyst and member of ActionSA, has allegedly sparked controversy within the DA.
SurgeZirc SA understands that Phalatse invited the majority of ActionSA members to the wedding but did not invite some of her DA colleagues.

Sources revealed some DA leaders learned of the wedding through social media and saw it as a betrayal.
Some DA members were even more enraged that the groom, Brutus Malada, established ActionSA structures in Limpopo.
Malada informed ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba about the wedding, according to Mashaba. He said he saw nothing wrong with the wedding and wished the couple the best of luck.
“We have no right to interfere with the union of two adults. For me, I wish them well.” In spite of her romantic ties, Phalatse has not expressed any desire to join ActionSA, according to Mashaba.
Phalatse informed DA federal chairperson Helen Zille that she would be married in March. “I don’t want to meddle in people’s personal lives.”
Their wedding sparked a social media frenzy, with some calling it a coalition because Phalatse is a member of the DA.
In photos circulating on social media Malada and Phalatse can be seen standing next to a couch with a priest in front of them.
There is a Bible on the coffee table with three ladies sitting on a couch, looking at them.

Malada, who is also a political researcher, wore a stunning suit, while Phalatse wore a short off-white dress.
