KZN Police Arrest Three Suspects Linked To Lusikisiki Massacre

In a significant development following the tragic Lusikisiki massacre that resulted in the loss of 18 lives, authorities have successfully apprehended three suspects within less than 24 hours.

Police Operations in Port Shepstone

According to Col. Robert Netshiunda, the provincial police spokesperson, the arrest took place in Port Shepstone on the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal.

Leveraging an intelligence-led operation, officers from the Port Shepstone K9 and Public Order Policing units, acted swiftly upon receiving crucial information from a member of the community. The suspects, aged 22, 24, and 31, were found hiding in rented accommodation at the Mkholombe informal settlement.

Community Support and Ongoing Investigations

National Police Commissioner Gen. Fannie Masemola expressed gratitude towards the public for their assistance in locating the suspects, emphasizing that cooperation strengthens the fight against crime.
