Floyd Shivambu Appointed As MK Party Secretary-General

uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party has appointed Floyd Shivambu as Secretary-General. The announcement was made by Jacob Zuma, the party president, on Sunday following the resignation of Sifiso Maseko, who has returned to his former role as Chief Director in the Gauteng Health Department.
A Brief Overview of the Transition
This appointment comes in the wake of a series of leadership changes within the MK party. Notably, Maseko succeeded former Secretary-General Arthur Zwane, who had faced difficulties leading to his eventual departure.

Maseko was relieved of his position, although he will continue to serve as a member of the National High Command, the MKP’s top decision-making body.
