This past weekend, South African rapper Cassper Nyovest tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart, Pulane. The wedding came as a surprise to the public, especially since Cassper had previously denied any plans of getting married.
Throughout this year, the 33-year-old artist has been open about his personal struggles and his newfound dedication to his faith. In an interview with Mpoomy Ledwaba, Cassper revealed his battle with sex addiction, which ultimately led to the breakup with the mother of his son.
“I was addicted to sex and sexual immorality in general,” Cassper confessed. “I had such a big ego, thinking I was better than everyone else. I was headed straight for hell if I didn’t have that wake-up call.”
Following Cassper’s wedding, fellow South African rapper Stilo Magolide expressed his frustration on social media. He voiced his confusion about Cassper’s recent life choices, questioning the sudden shift from dropping albums to finding God, getting married, and even having multiple bodyguards.
“You got us real confused,” Stilo exclaimed. “What’s going on? It feels like we missed a lot of episodes. Please tell us. There’s so much we’re missing.”
Stilo also raised eyebrows by mentioning that he thought Cassper’s childhood sweetheart was someone else entirely, namely Boity. He questioned the authenticity of Cassper’s actions and the secrecy surrounding his wedding.
