Viewers are always sitting on the edges of their seats in this season of Uthando Nes’thembu. They also can’t help but feel that Thobile MaKhumalo Mseleku is sucking up to her husband simply because she can’t give him kids.
In this week’s episode, the wife number five issue came up again. Mseleku went to visit Makhumalo to discuss the issue of taking her time to entertain the fifth wife. According to them the husband of five allocates a number of days to spend with each wife.
Now that there’ll be wife number five these days will be affected and other wives might not take it lightly. So Musa asked MaMkhumalo to give up some of her days as she’s the most understanding wife.
She responded by saying she can gladly give away her days as this wouldn’t be the first time. When MaNgwabe came into the family it called for her (Thobile) not to spend time with her husband for a full year.
Not only that she went as far as saying she’s ready to meet number five and she would have preferred if her husband came with her instead of coming alone for discussions. Hayibo! does this mean she understands the dynamics of polygamy more than the other wives? Well, viewers seem to think that she trying to compensate so it won’t be noticeable that she can’t give Mseleku kids.
