According to MultiChoice, there will be no limit on the number of people who can log in, but services will be limited to one concurrent stream.

DStv announced on Tuesday that beginning March 22nd, it will limit the streaming of its services on its DStv Now app to only one account in an effort to reduce mass password sharing and piracy.

This change will affect all subscriptions in Africa, according to the MultiChoice-owned broadcast satellite service.

“From 22 March 2022, customers will be limited to streaming DStv on one device at a time. They will still be able to watch previously downloaded content on a second device,” the broadcast group said in a statement.

The cost of DStv packages is set to rise in April this year, with the cheapest viewer package costing R29 and offering 36 channels, and the premium package costing more than R800 and offering over 150 channels.
