Makgotso M has joined the league of South African celebrities that keeps picking up movie roles in international productions.

The actress who recently took to her Instagram to announce her involvement in the movie titled, “Survive” also spoke about her personal journey with mental health.

“Survive is a film (directed by @markpellington) that explores mental health. It was a pleasure to be apart of it because the subject matter is one that is close to me.

“There’s no words that can really describe what one goes through in the battlefield called the mind. But for some, the battle rages to the extent where some even take their lives 😔

“I’m glad that we are living in a time where we can educate ourselves more about mental health in the hopes of removing the stigmas around it so that people can freely get the help they need.

“Personally, one thing that’s helped me on my journey is knowing that I’m not alone, being able to talk about it, educational content and things like therapy.

“It was a pleasure to act alongside @sophiet. Thank you Mark Pellington for the opportunity to be apart of this project 🙏🏽. I walked away from the project with this echoing in my heart, ‘your life is worth fighting for’”
