It’s back as if nothing happened. Seems like in this season five of 1Magic’s telenovela ‘The River,’ there will be more unfiltered drama.
The new season began with the most expected wedding, which we thought would not happen in the previous season. In the first episode, Mabutho, played by Thembinkosi Mthembu, and Nomonde, played by Linda Mtoba, finally tied the knot. We recall the couple falling in love in season 4 and Mabutho lying about being a wealthy businessman; however, Nomonde loved him enough to sleep in a shack.
New week and a whole new season!!! 🔥 🔥

We all know that weddings in telenovelas aren’t just weddings; there’s always a hot spicy dish on the menu. As a result, the wedding concluded with the biggest plot twist of the decade. What happened to Zweli (Hlomla Dandala) as a result of Mabutho’s actions? We don’t want to ruin your enjoyment if you haven’t already seen it, but let me urge you to do so right away because Mabutho has a bleeding Zweli on the bathroom floor and Nomonde knocking at the door.

We agree that the wedding was lit, but not as lit as Lindiwe, aka ‘Umadla bantu,’ as played by award-winning Sindi Dlathu. In the ended season, udle (ate) uMohumi was performed by former Generations and The Republic actor Seputla Sebogodi. That is how the series ended with a bang, as Lindiwe, with the assistance of Tsotsi film star Presley Chweneyagae, removed a common enemy, Mohumi, by forcing him to swim in a croc river.
IT HAS ALL COME FULL CIRCLE !!! 🔥 🔥
Mohumi disrespected a BOSS and he doesn’t get to live to tell the tale. Go fedile botlhoko and she took back what belongs to her! There can only be ONE!
And that’s a wrap on #TheRiver1Magic S4!

Season five is not coming to play, so viewers should stay glued to their screens. If you thought the controversy was over, just wait until you see Zolani, played by Big Bother Mzansi’s presenter Lawrence Maleka, searching for his wife Emma ( Lunathi Mampofu). The same wife for whom he murdered a man and was imprisoned. The only problem is that Emma has vanished into thin air.
Vuuuka vuka vuka!! 🗣️ Zolani ubuyile and this time for good! But, he comes with a heavy question that everyone has no clue where to start answering. Tricky.

Phathu Makwarela and Gwydion Beynon, the telenovela’s founders, have accolades. Other honors included Best Achievement in Original Music/Score, Best Achievement in Editing (Ula Oelsen, Bongi Malefo, and Matodzi Nemungad), Best Achievement in Cinematography (Gaopie Kabe and Trevor Brown), and Best Achievement in Art Direction (Ula Oelsen, Bongi Malefo, and Matodzi Nemungad). The accomplishments do not include the actor’s awards, which he consistently wins whenever he is nominated.
It is safe to say that the drama series has been providing us with new storylines. Maybe ‘The Queen’ can learn a thing or two from the soap. It’s no secret that the telenovela has recently been chastised on social media for repeating the same story line.

Fans took to Twitter to discuss how Zweli and Lindiwe are so natural and unique in the new season. Their scenes are so effortless, with the same consistency since season one, that they deserve another award, according to the viewers.
