In a recent interview on the Limpopo podcast, Skhothane SA Pitiro, the road manager and friend of entertainer Skomota, expressed his frustration with the manager, Moruti wa Dikota.
According to Skhothane, Skomota does not have a bank account, and all the money he earns goes directly to the manager.

This revelation has sparked outrage and concern among users of X, the app formerly known as Twitter. Skomota’s booking fee is rumoured to be R90,000, and it is estimated that he has been making around R545,000 per month since gaining fame.
One user on X expressed their frustration, stating that it is unfair for Skomota to be living in poverty while he has a substantial amount of money that he cannot access.
Others have criticized the lack of empathy in African society, pointing out the exploitation of mentally unstable individuals like Skomota and the mistreatment of vulnerable women.

Earlier this year, Mzansi was more than convinced that Moruti was allegedly exploiting Skomota after their behind-the-scenes video went viral. Moruti wa Dikota was tongue-lashing Skomota in the video after failing to follow instructions during their promotional video shoot. However, against the now-viral podcast, Moruti wa Dikota has yet to address the daring allegations.
Despite the allegations, Skomota has wowed Mzansi with some of his flashiest outfits, which cost a fortune. Earlier this year, he made headlines when spotted wearing a R20,000 outfit.
He was wearing Karl Lagerfeld sneakers, which cost R2,579, and original slim-fit Bronny jeans, which cost at least R4,950. Skomota complimented his outfit with an original L.12 Petit Piqué cotton Lacoste polo shirt, which cost R2,495.
