The Limpopo police have been investigating the case and have uncovered some disturbing details. It appears that Sebasa advertised a scam called “Mining City” on the radio in 2020, enticing unsuspecting listeners with the promise of high rewards if they invested.

As a well-known radio presenter, people trusted Sebasa and willingly deposited money into an account belonging to the altcoin trader, purchasing mining packages ranging from R6,500 to R253,000.

However, when the victims attempted to withdraw their money, they discovered that the provided details were blocked.

Contacting Sebasa, they were informed that the mining city scam had collapsed due to the inflation rate, resulting in the loss of their investments. To make matters worse, when the victims tried to visit the office, they found it closed, and Sebasa’s phone was on voicemail.
