Netizens on social media have been buzzing with speculation after pictures emerged of Skeem Saam actress Amanda du-Pont accompanied by armed bodyguards.
The photographs, which show her dressed in all black, have sparked curiosity and rumours about her rumoured boyfriend, taxi boss Bafana Sindane.
It seems that the eyebrow-raising moment occurred when du-Pont attended a funeral over the weekend. While attending the sombre event, she was accompanied by a team of bodyguards, a sight that had never been witnessed before by the public.

Gossip blogger Sanele Nkosi added fuel to the fire by suggesting that the funeral was for a family member of Sindane, further linking the two.
In addition to du-Pont’s presence, Sindane himself can be seen in some of the pictures from the funeral. The event also attracted other celebrities, including DJ Zinhle.
This isn’t the first time rumours have circulated about du-Pont’s romantic involvement with Sindane. Last year, the news broke courtesy of the infamous murder-accused gossip commentator, Musa Kahawula.
Sunday World reported that du-Pont and Sindane were living their best lives in the romantic city of Paris, France. They were invited as guests to the extravagant wedding of multi-millionaire Dr Sisa Ngebulana and Ayanda Ngebulana in June of the previous year.
The rumour mill went into overdrive when du-Pont shared a now-deleted video on her Instagram page, showcasing a luxurious Maserati, the very same car Sindane had posted about on his own Instagram on the same day.
“There have been rumours that she went there as his plus-one. We just don’t know if this means they are more than just friends, but them being there together speaks volumes,” a friend revealed to the publication.
Bafana Sindane, a businessman hailing from KwaZulu-Natal, is deeply entrenched in the taxi industry. He is associated with the presidential cartel or the hockey club, infamous for its controversial lifestyle and involvement in secret parties and blessers culture.
In 2014, Sindane made headlines with his extravagant wedding to Ouma Mdhluli in Kwaggafontein, Mpumalanga.
The wedding reportedly cost a staggering R1.7 million and featured 30,000 roses flown in from Kenya and 10,000 orchids from Holland. Amanda du-Pont was also in attendance, adding to the intrigue surrounding their relationship.
Last year, Sindane was linked to DJ and radio host Lerato Kganyago, but the rumours of an affair were swiftly denied by the Metro FM presenter. Prior to her involvement with Sindane, du-Pont had a relationship with rapper and Uyajola 9/9 host Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye.
Unfortunately, their relationship ended on a sour note, with du-Pont accusing the musician of rape and attempted murder, allegedly occurring in 2007. In 2022, du-Pont opened a case against Jub Jub. It is worth noting that du-Pont has also been married, with her divorce from ex-husband Shawn Rodriques being finalised earlier this year after three years of marriage.
