Multi-award-winning musician Zahara, also known as Bulelwa Mkutukana, has recently been rushed to the hospital after falling seriously ill at her home.
The 36-year-old singer has been in the hospital for nearly a week, with reports indicating that her condition has worsened, leading to her transfer to the ICU section of a private hospital in Johannesburg.

According to a source close to Zahara, she was admitted with severe liver complications, potentially necessitating a liver transplant. Her family members from East London have come to Joburg to support her fiancé, Mpho Xaba, who has been by her side throughout her illness.
Both in Joburg and East London, Zahara’s loved ones are holding prayer vigils, hoping for her recovery. However, the financial burden of extensive medical tests weighs heavily on her family, as she lacks comprehensive medical aid coverage.
