Who is Sanele and when did you develop a passion for music?

“I’m a very nice guy from Durban, who likes to spend time with family, loves to sing and create music, loves to eat and definitely enjoys watching TV. My passion for music started from grade 2 and it grew to a point where I’ve decided to make a career out of it.”

We know you were a Contestant at South African Idols, how was that journey for you?

“The journey was absolutely amazing, I had learnt a lot in the short time I was in the competition and I grew to know the ins and outs of the industry, I can say it was a great experience.”

“I love reading! I also like to travel a lot, it’s just a bug that’s caught me out of nowhere.”

How has Covid-19 affected your music career?

“It has affected not just me but the whole country negatively. It’s even worse for us musicians who live off by getting booked for events and get paid from it. So I’m hoping.” everything will be fine as soon as possible so that people who are freelancers can have a way to support their families again.”

We know you have a couple of Singles or rather EP’s that you’ve released, can you tell us about them, the inspiration behind them, especially your EP titled ‘UThando’.

“I have a new EP titled “UThando” which is really close to my heart. It’s the first project that I’ve released which consists of 4 songs. The inspiration comes from my daily experiences and I wanted to share with my supporters everything I’ve been through, and also to give a message of love and hope.”
