SurgeZirc SA reports that Justin Bieber has announced that he will be performing live in South Africa as part of his world tour line ups next year.

The Canadian Popstar is billed to perform at the DHL Stadium, Cape Town, on 28 September 2022 and as well as on 1 October, at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

Justin Bieber’s world tour kicks off from May 2022 finish in March 2023, and will see Justin perform 90 dates in 20 countries.

Bieber will start with 52 dates in North America, before moving through Mexico, Scandinavia, South America, the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand, and the UK and Europe – and with more dates expected in Asia and the Middle East.

“We’ve been working hard to create the best show we’ve ever done, and we can’t wait to share it with fans around the world. I’ll see you soon,” said Bieber.

Bieber who bagged eight nominations at the just concluded MTV EMA Awards missed out on all nominations as Korean Pop group BTS and Irish singer Ed Sheeran stole the show.

However, South African sensation Focalistic missed out on the Best African Act category after conceding the Award to Nigerian Grammy-award-winning singer Wizkid.

MTV Europe Music Awards presented by ViacomCBS spotlights outstanding artists in Europe and beyond.

ViacomCBS Networks Africa’s senior vice-president and general manager Monde Twala, speaking on Wizkid’s win, said: “Wizkid’s win at the EMAs underscores Africa’s rise to prominence in the global music scene. Music has the power to unite the world, and this year’s winner has truly embodied that concept with ground-breaking collaborations and inspirational messaging.”

The Award which took place at Papp László Budapest Sportaréna in Budapest, Hungary on Sunday saw performances from Ed Sheeran, Saweetie, One Republic, Imagine Dragons, and, Tanzanian sensation Maluma Rayvanny.
