South African hip-hop star Emtee recently took to his Twitter account to express his frustration with Sony Music label for blocking his collaboration with R&B singer Nanette, who is signed to them.
Emtee, known for his bold and unfiltered statements, did not hold back in calling out the label.
But that’s not all Emtee had to say. The rapper also shared his plans for the year, revealing that he will be dropping not one, but two albums. This announcement was met with excitement from his fans and fellow artists.
A-Reece, another prominent figure in the South African music scene, responded to Emtee’s tweet and expressed his interest in collaborating on one of the songs. Saudi, yet another artist, also expressed his desire to be a part of the project.
Emtee didn’t stop there. He went on to call out artists who couldn’t write their own songs, offering his services as a songwriter for a fee. This bold statement garnered mixed reactions from the music community.
Emtee then took to Twitter again to share his excitement about a song he had just recorded with R&B singer Nanette. However, his joy quickly turned to anger as he revealed that the song had been blocked by Nanette’s label, Sony Music.
In a fit of frustration, Emtee called out the label, referring to them as “evil and jealous ma’f*ck*s.” He even challenged them to a physical altercation if there were any issues. Emtee then announced that he would be replacing Nanette in the song with another artist named Shannon, whom he plans to sign.
