On Wednesday, 29 May 2024, Jub Jub, whose real name is Molemo Maarohanye, shared an Instagram story that showcased his frustration.
The media personality was turned away from a voting station because he wasn’t registered there. The rapper explained that he was out of his registered voting district due to travel commitments, which led to him being denied the chance to cast his vote.
Clearly angered by the situation, Jub Jub recorded a video of himself walking away from the polls. In the video, he didn’t hold back, expressing his disdain for the system with some choice words.
“This system is bull—,” he exclaimed, criticizing the rules that prevented him from voting in a different district. The rapper’s anger was palpable as he took aim at what he saw as an inflexible and unfair system.

According to the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), voters need to be present at their registered voting stations unless they have applied for Section 24A.
This allows them to vote in a different area. Additionally, special votes could be applied for on the Monday and Tuesday preceding the election day. However, it appears that Jub Jub was either unaware of these stipulations or unable to meet them due to his busy schedule.
