Unathi Nkayi, a well-known media personality, recently took to social media to address the rumours surrounding her relationship with the Maxhosa brand. In a video shared on Twitter, Unathi clarified that she isn’t an ambassador for Maxhosa and has never been.
However, what should have been a simple message quickly turned into a storm of criticism and trolling, with netizens focusing on a completely unrelated aspect of Unathi’s appearance – her hands.
During the video, Unathi used hand gestures to emphasize her points, but instead of paying attention to her message, people started commenting on the difference in skin tone between her hands and the rest of her body. Some even went as far as speculating about her age based on the appearance of her hands.
One Twitter user wrote, “Those hands used to throw petrol bombs in the 70s,” while another commented, “The hands shem. Oh… those hands are definitely telling stories.” Yet another user suggested that Unathi’s hands reveal her true age.
