L’vovo Derrango’s health took a sharp decline when he suffered a stroke in December last year. The aftermath left him bedridden, unable to walk, and struggling to regain his strength.
However, as time went on, he made significant progress in his recovery and even started accepting bookings for events and shows.

Excitement filled the air of social media when he was announced as part of the lineup for Durban’s Cotton Fest, organized by Riky Rick, scheduled for Sunday, 2 July.
Unfortunately, L’vovo had to deliver the disappointing news that he could not honor the booking due to his ongoing health challenges.
In a heartfelt statement shared on Instagram, the iStyle singer expressed gratitude for the unwavering support he received during this trying period.
L’vovo revealed, “The past few months have been one of the toughest periods of my life. I’ve literally had to watch my life flash before me.
Through it all, I’ve received unwavering support from my fans, family, and friends. I’ve been in constant engagement with my doctor these past few days about my condition.”

Despite his disappointment, L’vovo expressed his appreciation to the event organizers for their understanding and announced his decision to prioritize his health by refraining from performing at Cotton Fest.
Apologizing sincerely for the cancellation, L’vovo expressed his hope of participating in the festival – in the near future – once he has fully recovered.
In a previous interview with SurgeZirc SA, he openly shared his gratitude for surviving the stroke and the immense support he received from his friends and family.
Reflecting on the challenging journey, L’vovo shared, “It has been very tough for me. I have not been able to walk, my leg and hand were affected by the stroke.

My friends have been very supportive and driving me around, taking me for my check-ups. Music has been my saving grace. I almost died. I don’t know how I survived.”
