A few days before South African rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes met his unfortunate death in a drive-by shooting on Florida Road on Friday night in Durban, his mom Lynn Forbes had sent him an emotional birthday message.
Lynn taking to Instagram on 28 January 2023, posted a photo of her and her son AKA and two other photos of the rapper with a touching caption, “I’ve been reflecting on motherhood and how it changed my life and this quote sums it up best …”

“The day you become a mother is the day you start watching your heart walk around outside of your body.
In the final lines of the message, AKA’s mom noted that it is her 35 years of being a mother to the rapper and she’s still counting.
“Here’s to 35 years of motherhood and counting … 🥂 Celebrating every precious moment of your life Kiernan 🎉🎂 28.01.1988 01.15am ❤️🙏🏽,” she added.
Unfortunately, Lynn Forbes never knew that was going to be her last message to her beloved son.
