Former Generations actress Sonia Mbele has had quite an eventful year. From tax troubles to dramatic restaurant encounters, she now closes off the year with a bad injury that forced her to shut down her office earlier than expected.
The Real Housewives of Johannesburg executive producer recently confirmed that she has been dealing with an autoimmune disease that she contracted a few months ago. This unexpected health setback has forced her to make some lifestyle changes.

Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse when Sonia suffered an injury at her own home. While navigating the treacherous terrain of her staircase, she slipped and took a tumble, breaking her leg and hurting her toe in the process. Ouch!
As a result of her injuries, Sonia had no choice but to close her office. She shared, “I am still in pain, but I will be fine. I am home for the rest of the year. I had to quit alcohol, and I now have to go for drips to make sure I have enough iron.”
It seems like Sonia’s year has been filled with more drama than an episode of her hit reality show. Earlier this year, she found herself in the midst of tax woes, adding yet another layer of stress to her already eventful life.
But wait, there’s more! Let’s not forget the time when Sonia was attacked at an upmarket restaurant in Sandton called Saints. An unknown man decided to snatch her wig and hit her back with it. Talk about adding insult to injury!
