In the world of hip-hop, beefs between artists are as common as catchy hooks and flashy chains. But sometimes, these feuds take on a life of their own, refusing to die down even when the initial diss tracks have faded into obscurity.
Such is the case with South African rappers Emtee and Big Zulu, whose ongoing beef shows no signs of reaching a peaceful resolution.

It all started when Big Zulu dropped his scathing diss track “150 Bars” last year, taking aim at several notable artists in the industry. Emtee, never one to back down from a challenge, took offense to the verbal assault and made it clear that he wasn’t about to let Big Zulu off the hook.
In a recent Instagram Live session, Emtee declared that the beef between him and Big Zulu was far from over. “There was never no beef, I had no beef with Big Zulu,” he said. “But he woke up one day and decided to diss me for no reason. So now, it’s on.”
According to Emtee, the two artists actively avoid each other, and when they do happen to cross paths, there’s no exchange of pleasantries.
“I don’t f*ck with him,” Emtee stated bluntly. “When I see him, I go that way, he goes that way. We’re like two ships passing in the night, except we’re not waving hello.”
But what makes this beef particularly personal for Emtee is the fact that Big Zulu targeted his beloved Mercedes in his diss track.
Emtee revealed that he had been involved in not one, not two, but five car accidents with that very same car. “I could’ve died in one of those accidents,” Emtee explained. “So for him to diss me about my car, that’s hitting below the belt.”
However, Emtee didn’t let Big Zulu’s diss get to him. In fact, he revealed that he had recently purchased a bus, proving that his garage was far from empty.

“Talk to me about no car, I got a bus,” he declared proudly. And while he may not be flaunting his new purchase on social media, Emtee wants the world to know that he’s doing just fine.
So what’s next for Emtee and Big Zulu? Will this beef ever be squashed, or are we in for a never-ending feud? Only time will tell. But one thing’s for certain, as long as these two artists are in the same industry, the tension will continue to simmer just below the surface.
