Confusion with Xolani Khumalo’s Trial
The arrest occurred in March when the police mistakenly believed that Maphanga was another Moja Love presenter, Xolani Khumalo, who is currently facing trial for murder. It seems that the confusion arose from the similarity in their names.
An Unfortunate Incident
In the latest incident, a victim accused Khumalo of shooting him in the arm after the presenter and his team mistook him for a drug dealer.

The victim initially filed a case at the police station but later dropped it, claiming that the matter had been resolved out of court.
