Renowned South African DJ, Black Coffee, has made his first public appearance since his recent flight accident. The DJ, whose real name is Nkosinathi Maphumalo, was spotted at the State of The Nation (SONA) address in Cape Town on 8th February, accompanied by his son, Anesu.
In pictures shared on social media, Black Coffee and his son were seen sitting in the crowd at the Cape Town City Hall.
Despite wearing a neck brace, the 47-year-old musician exuded style, donning dark shades and a sharp black suit. His son, whose mother is Black Coffee’s estranged wife, Enhle Mbali, looked dapper in a black and white outfit with neatly braided cornrows.
The father-and-son duo were seated behind Cape Town mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis and his wife Carla, although it remains unclear why Black Coffee attended the event. This appearance marks the DJ’s first public outing since the flight accident that occurred in early January.
