The circumstances of AKA’s death were chilling. He was shot and killed by a mysterious assailant outside Wish restaurant in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
The shocking incident was captured on CCTV and spread like wildfire on social media, leaving fans devastated and demanding justice. Despite public outcry and calls for action, no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
However, there is a glimmer of hope. In a radio interview last December, Minister Bheki Cele revealed that the individuals involved in the case were close associates of the late rapper.
While he couldn’t divulge too many details, he assured the public that progress was being made. “We know who we are chasing… Unfortunately, we can’t be giving a blow-by-blow of what is happening, but the progress is absolutely there,” Cele stated.
