South African hip-hop artist and entrepreneur Siyabonga Metane, popularly known as Slikour, and his wife Melissa Wilkinson, have recently made headlines due to allegations of cheating and abuse.
The couple released a joint statement on Sunday, addressing the reports and requesting privacy during this difficult time.

The rumours started after Sunday World published an article claiming that Wilkinson had kicked Slikour out of their home, citing infidelity as the reason.
According to an unnamed source, the former Skwatta Kamp member has been unfaithful to his wife of five years. The source also alleged emotional and financial abuse on Slikour’s part.
In their joint statement, Slikour and Wilkinson acknowledged that they have their own “trials and tribulations” to work through. They expressed their desire to address these challenges privately and asked for space to overcome them.
“We have been married for over five years, and like any other couple, we face our own trials and tribulations. While we acknowledge these challenges, we kindly request the opportunity to work through them in private,” the statement read.

The couple emphasised their commitment to building a happy and healthy home, not only for themselves but especially for their children. They urged the public to treat their marriage and family with respect and sensitivity, emphasising their right to privacy.
Slikour and Wilkinson got married in a traditional wedding ceremony in 2017. They welcomed a daughter in 2020, and Slikour also has an older son from a previous relationship.
