The superstar DJ was one of six bidders looking to buy Royal AM Football Club, which was auctioned by SARS to recover a staggering R40 million tax debt owed by Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize.

Black Coffee’s Big Play for Royal AM

Mzansi’s biggest bag Black Coffee, known for his lavish lifestyle and massive business empire, was among those who submitted offers for the struggling football club.

Apart from Black Coffee, other bidders included:

• David “Mazolman” Skosana (MK Party politician & ex-football admin) – Bid R15M but flopped
• Joe Sibanyoni
• A Greek businessman linked to Minister Gayton McKenzie
• An unnamed DRC businessman

The auction, which took place on March 14, 2025, required bidders to submit a R1M refundable deposit before throwing their hats in the ring.
