Kelvin Momo, whose real name is Thato Ledwaba, was an artist under Kabza’s record label, Piano Hub. According to their agreement, royalties from Kelvin’s music were to be paid every six months, with Kabza responsible for promoting his music commercially.
However, things didn’t go as planned. Kabza reportedly failed to inform distributors and publishers that he no longer had an agreement with Kelvin, leading to payments being mishandled. Instead of going directly to Kelvin, the funds went to Kabza’s label.
The contract dispute has undoubtedly soured the relationship between Kabza and Kelvin. “They were really close. They had a good friendship until the signing of the contracts. Sometimes you cannot mix friendships with business,” a source revealed.

Feeling aggrieved, Kelvin has decided to cut ties with Piano Hub and take the legal route. He’s approached the Johannesburg High Court, demanding a sum of R1 million in compensation for the royalties and the failure to meet contractual obligations.
